The Mortons are restaurant royalty, a dynasty that has shaped the culture of upscale dining from Miami to Las Vegas. Morton Cohen started the first Morton’s in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, changing his last name to match the restaurant. His son Arnie inherited the name and the business, which he would develop into the sophisticated Morton’s The Steakhouse, while also helping Hugh Hefner create the Playboy Clubs. His son, Peter Morton, further expanded the family’s impact by co-founding Hard Rock Cafe and later developing the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, playing a major role in the evolution of modern nightlife and resort entertainment. Another son, Michael, along with his wife, Jenna, have become influential figures in the city’s dining and nightlife scene.

Michael and Jenna launched the iconic Drink! and Nine Group brands, which helped redefine the Las Vegas nightclub landscape. Today, Michael oversees a portfolio of restaurants, including La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway at Wynn Resorts, Crush at MGM Grand, Greek Sneek at MGM Grand, ONE Steakhouse at Virgin Hotels, and Nudo Italiano in Southern Highlands. In addition to her work in hospitality, Jenna Morton co-directs an archaeological project in Jordan that led to the designation of Umm Al-Jimāl as the country’s newest UNESCO World Heritage site. The industry-shaping couple have just listed their epic Vegas estate for $19.5 million.
