With no state income tax and low sales and gas taxes, Alaska is rated the #1 tax friendly state in the United States by Kiplinger. In addition to low taxes, Alaska even grants residents a yearly dividend – $1,600 for 2018. Wyoming, South Dakota, Florida and Nevada round out the top five. Kiplinger also considered property, inheritance and sin taxes.
