A Look at the Versace Mansion!

Built in 1930 by Standard Oil heir Alden Freeman, it was based on a 16th-century castle in the Dominican Republic that was owned by Christopher Columbus’s son’s family. Gianni Versace bought the mansion in 1993 and spent over $20 million to restore it. In 1997, Versace was gunned down by a lone gunman at the homes front gate.
