Michael Kittredge began his candle business as a teenager when he made his first candle from his melted crayons and a shoe lace, eventually selling the business for $500 million. In 1984, Michael began assembling his 100-acre compound in western Massachusetts that his son once described as “like having Disneyland in the backyard.” Michael died in 2019. The family is selling the home asking $23 million.
