In 2020, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds and an American friend bought the struggling Wrexham FC football team in North Wales. They have generated immense new interest and revenue for the club, including from their Hollywood friends. Ryan is apparently in the sport for the long haul as he and his wife just purchased a £1.5 million house ($1.86 million US) near the team’s stadium.
