Coastal Living At Its Finest!
Coastal Living At Its Finest!
Just 18 miles from Savannah, in Henry Ford's low country plantation is a marvelous new community steeped in history. Originally a rice plantation from the 1700's, the plantation is beautifully situated on the Ogeechee River with preserved marsh and habitat areas playing host to migrating birds and prolific wildlife. For those of us who fell in love with historic Savannah and left feeling a sense of loss that we could never replicate it in our own lives, the Ford Plantation is an answer to our prayers.
You have to admit to the unmistakable charm of old southern plantation homes and cottages with their front porches beckoning neighbors to come sit and chat over a tall glass of ice tea. Opening the screen door, the expanse of dark stained antique pine floors glimmer and the house gives off a feeling of coolness and comfort with the ceiling fan silently creating a soft movement of air. Leaves you thinking how nice it will be to curl up with your book and dose peacefully before the cookout this evening. Tomorrow night you're looking forward to walking down to the Lake Dye Grill with your next door neighbors then going out on their yacht for a moonlight cruise. So much to enjoy . . . So many adventures . . . and your gracious home to retreat to after days filled with endless pleasures.
You must see the beautiful new homes and lots currently available in each of the charming neighborhoods with ancient oaks, and ambiance you are likely to find nowhere else. Golf, fishing & boating on Henry Ford's winter home location. Homes from under $1m to over $4m.
