Terrell’s Terrible Troubles!
Terrell's Terrible Troubles!
T.O. is not having a good year. No team in the NFL offered him a contract after he played for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, and he is facing possible jail time in Georgia for not making child support payments of $20,000 to an Atlanta women. Terrell has four children with four different women and is under court order to pay almost $45,000 a month for the children.
Terrell isn't alone among his peers as it seems so many fall victim to the easy come - easy go syndrome. And do you ever wonder why they all seem to be obsessed with expensive real estate? After all, just how many houses can you live in at one time? Seems like sports celebrities collect mega mansions like grandmas collect Hummels. Alas, it appears that keeping up with their celebrity status took time away from keeping up with the economy, so many are trying to unload properties as fast as they can go.
By the time Terrell finally had a year to sit down and think about his finances, four children, bad investments (T.O lost a $2 million investment in an illegal Alabama electronic bingo game venture), and four houses (over $700k in yearly mortgage payments), it was too late. Sitting out the 2011 season, he found it was impossible to keep up the mortgage payments on his mega collection and was forced to watch his two Dallas homes slide into foreclosure. He recently sold one in New Jersey for less than half of what he put into it, and another home in Atlanta is now on the market.
Now that Terrell is playing for the Allen Wranglers in the Indoor Football League, it doesn't look like T.O. will be doing any future celebration dances on the Dallas Cowboys star logo. Hopefully, he'll get enough cash together and buy a nice normal house and have a nice place to live in retirement.
T.O. is looking at two foreclosures, court fines and jail time and the end of his NFL career.
