It finally sold, but we’ll always be left with the nagging curiosity of how it looked inside. We were charmed by the neighborhood and the historic old exterior, and knew it had tremendous potential. Having been part of a busy celebrity family for 30 years, even knowing that it needed a major Rip & Strip, interior pictures would have given those of us who study old houses the opportunity to design in our heads and become excited over the steps needed to make it a glamour girl once more. Not all potential buyers are swayed by the current staging, but are creative enough to instantly see how it will look when they’re let loose inside. You know, . . a picture of the old carpet pulled up so we could see the original patterned hardwood underneath and maybe an arrow pointing to the nonbearing walls.
