Most are large estates in wealthy enclaves including Palm Beach, Beverly Hills and Dallas. The biggest at 70,000 square feet is an abandoned mansion in Philadelphia. Lynnewood Hall was built around 1900 for industrialist Peter A.B. Widener with 100 rooms and 55 bedrooms. It has been on and off the market for years, now priced at $11 million.
