Halle lived in a homeless shelter at age 21 while trying to break into acting and Chris Pratt lived in his van in Hawaii before he was discovered. Steve Jobs slept on a friend’s floor, collected coke bottles for cash and went to a Hare Krishna temple for food before he founded Apple, and Jim Carrey stayed in a VW van. Even Jennifer Lopez had to borrow a dance studio’s couch for awhile.
