John Howe worked with Frank Lloyd Wright for 27 years as his chief draftsman. After Wright died, Howe launched his own firm using many of the Wright ideas such as open spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows and minimal footprint. A home in New Canaan, Connecticut that Howe built in 1981 is for sale. Situated on nearly 7 acres at the end of a private cul-de-sac, the 7,000-square-foot home includes Wright-type details, including a Japanese garden and the living room with hemisphere glass windows framing serene views of trees and nature and stained glass accents. The listing agent is Chau Ngo of The Jennifer Leahy Team at Douglas Elliman.
