Buying a home is a much better financial move than renting, at least in Florida. According to a recent survey, purchasing a home is the most successful strategy for accumulating wealth. Over a ten-year period, homeowners are expected to outperform renters by $275,000 to over $509,000 in five key Florida markets, including Miami, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville.
