Miami Beach $120 Million Home Sets New Record
Posted: March 11, 2025 | Source: www.yahoo.comBillionaire real estate developer Vladislav Doronin sold his mansion on ritzy Star Island in Miami Beach for $120 million – a record price for a home in Miami-Dade County. The sale to Michael Ferro’s Constellation Drive LLC beats the previous Miami-Dade record by $13 million. Doronin is a Russian-born real estate developer, and Ferro founded and sold several tech and medical imaging companies. Doronin acquired the 22,000-square-foot Star Island estate in 2009 for $16 million from retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal.
Star Island is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the world. Current residents include hedge fund investor Ken Griffin, LoanDepot founder Anthony Hsieh, rapper Rick Ross, and philanthropists Phillip and Patricia Frost. Former celebrity residents include Gloria Esteban, Enrique Iglesias, Don Johnson, Vanilla Ice, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. Sean “Diddy” Combs also owns a home on Star Island, but is currently in jail.
