Toward the end of New York City’s Gilded Age, Charles Schwab built what might have been the most magnificent mansion in the city’s history. It included 86 rooms, a 200-foot tower, bowling alley and three elevators – occupying almost an entire city block. It was demolished in the late 1940s. Luxury Listings NYC has photos.
