Located in Pacific Palisades, California, Case Study House #20, designed by Richard Neutra, has hit the US market, asking $10.5 million. Built in 1948, the mid-century modern home was part of the magazine Arts & Architecture’s challenge to major architects such as Neutra, Raphael Soriano, Craig Ellwood and Ray Eames, to build architecturally significant homes that were affordable. The prices varied, Case Study House #20 was initially listed in 1947 for $19,600 while Case Study House #26 was listed for $70,000 in 1963. Case Study House #16 recently went on the market for the first time in half a century and is priced at $2.995 million.
