The almost 24,000-square-foot home on 2.6 acres has 250 feet of Atlantic beach, is just a mile from the studio where Rush did his popular radio show, and where he battled with local sea turtle advocates who said that the bright lights from his mansion interfered with the turtle’s migratory paths. The 1992-built home has seven bedrooms, a pool and putting green, a smaller version of the library at the Biltmore Estate, and a chandelier modeled after one from New York’s Plaza Hotel. Rush died last year.
