House of Peace is the only American private residence designed by internationally recognized classical Spanish architect Rafael Manzano Martos and hand crafted by artisans from around the world with the skills to recreate the home’s historical decorative and construction elements.

Located in the guard-gated equestrian community of Rolling Hills in Los Angeles, the 51,000-square-foot home is sited on 7.42 acres. Appearing to be built on a single level, due to community building restrictions, the owner excavated down to bedrock, creating five levels accessed by stairs and two elevators. Taking almost 17 years to build, the house was completed in 2008 for owner John Z. Blazevich, founder of Contessa Premium Foods. Features include nine bedrooms, twenty-five baths, a 10,000-square-foot hammam, or Moroccan-style Turkish bath, Moroccan hand-cut tile floors, and a grand ballroom that can also be used as a regulation-sized indoor tennis court. Outside is a reflecting pool, bocce court, a swimming pool with 180-degree views, an olive grove, rose gardens and manicured orchards of more than 25 varieties of fruit and nut trees. Priced at $53 million.
