Lenny Dykstra Bankruptcy Home!
Lenny Dykstra Bankruptcy Home!
Some people just have a hard time identifying where the line is drawn between fantasy and reality. Or possibly with a feeling of entitlement, believe that they'll get away with nefarious dealings. Whichever, either situation usually comes to no good end! Lenny Dykstra will forever be remembered for three things: his walk off home run in Game 3 of the World Series, which is considered one of the biggest hits in Mets franchise history and the definitive moment of Dykstra's career, steroid use. . . . and for essentially destroying a perfectly good house. Since we're real estate fanatics, we'll leave the other subject to the sports nuts. They already know which World Series, so they can jump on over to that side.
According to
a May 7, 2011 Bloomberg article, "A lawyer for the bankruptcy trustee has estimated Dykstra stole or destroyed property worth more than $400,000, . . . According to the indictment, Dykstra lied about sconces, an oven, chandeliers and gold fixtures that he had removed from his mansion and sold. The indictment replaces a criminal complaint filed April 13 by prosecutors in federal court in Los Angeles."
Today it's hard to believe that with the description above, this fabulous mansion was restored to it's previous . . or better . . . condition! Sitting on over 6.5 acres in the Thousand Oaks community and designed by Richard Landry, the whole property is lush and lavish from the inside out. The views from the pool deck are also lovely. We're not surprised that it was snapped up immediately. The re-do was exceptional! Trashed home back on market at $10.5m recently sold!
