London Mansion Asking $483 Million!
Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleWith its 60,000 square feet and 45 bedrooms, it was the perfect single family home for Sultan bin Abdulaziz’ 12 wives and 32 children. But what if you don’t have a harem?
About as massive as houses get, this seven-story behemoth of a residence used to be four separate large family homes until it was restyled into one mansion. It was the home of the former prime minister of Lebanon, Rafiq Hariri, until he was assassinated in 2005 in a car bombing in Beirut. After his death, it was given (not sold) to Sultan bin Abdulaziz, where he and his huge family lived until he died last October. Apparently Hariri and the Prince had close personal and business ties in common.
Located in the City of Westminster that takes up the center of London, also the location of Buckingham Palace, the mansion has an undeniably good address. The neighborhood is filled with pretty parks and other fine residences. Interior pictures aren’t available, but gossip has it that in addition to 45 bedrooms, it has millions of dollars worth of gold leafing, a large indoor swimming pool, a catering kitchen large enough to feed an army, underground parking facilities, several elevators and supposedly more than 120 bullet-proof windows, 68 of which face Hyde Park.
Since the property is only being marketed quietly to the world’s billionaires, don’t hurry and schedule any flights to London for a tour. Instead, experience it vicariously by scrolling through the Forbes 500 list guessing which ones received invitations. Remember - they will probably have to be worth over $3 billion to qualify!
