Maryland Penderyn Auction!
Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleOne of the most elegant estates on Maryland’s Eastern Shore will be going up for auction on July 19th with no reserve. The estate was originally built by the son and sole heir of the creator of the Chef Boyardee line of canned foods, Hector J. Boiardi. Mario J. Boiardi was an entrepreneur in his own right. He and his father owned a steel mill together and later Mario established Boiardi Products, a marble flooring and tile company, in Paterson, N.J., in 1970. In the 1990s, he established Super Step, a research and development firm, that advised new business owners. In the early 1980s, Boiardi and his wife, Maureen, moved to the Eastern Shore and built Penderyn, which was completed in 1988. According to his wife in an interview with "The Baltimore Sun," her husband enjoyed semi-retirement at the shore where he spent his time crabbing, taking long automobile trips, gardening and hiking. They enjoyed formal dinners and entertaining and Mario always required guests to wear a coat and tie. By the sumptuousness of the home, it is easy to understand.

Not even the most minute detail was overlooked.
