Material Girl Selling Her Stuff!
Material Girl Selling Her Stuff!
Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleMadonna loves houses too and she can afford as many as she wants. But let’s face it, after the age of 50 and once again on her own, all that "stuff" becomes a full time job and expense in maintenance issues. Fine if you actually spend time there, but if you don’t, it all becomes excess baggage and unloading it gives that refreshing sense of freedom.
The Material Girl’s house affairs started in the 1980s with her first Los Angeles house, which she sold to Leonardo DiCaprio. Then followed four more homes, the last of which has been on the market in one of those celebrity quiet offerings. In England, she owns at least one London apartment, even though after their recent divorce, Guy Ritchie kept the family manse. She also owns Wild Ocean Farm, an equestrian facility in Bridgehampton which she bought from Calvin Kline’s ex-wife in 2009.
In New York City, much to the consternation of her sedate neighbors, she lived in this grand apartment in Harperley Hall until recently moving into her newly renovated and expanded triple wide New York townhouse. Though her residency there is said to have increased the value of all the units by 25%, one neighbor at Harperley Hall sued her for playing music and dancing so hard it shook the neighbor’s own apartment. So a little word of wisdom here: If you’re thinking about buying this apartment, hopefully you’re not a rock star who feels the need to practice at home. The Harperley Hall apartment is a 6,000 square foot duplex on the fifth and sixth floors at West 64th Street and Central Park West, with 6 bedrooms and 8 baths. Other luxury notes include a treetop Central Park view, 5 fireplaces, an eat-in kitchen with window and a library.
Although one of the building’s greatest assets has moved out, Madonna’s NYC apartment is priced at $23.5 million.
