Meg Ryan's Beautiful SoHo Loft Sold!
Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleMeg Ryan, America’s sweetheart in When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail and director of Fan Girl and Ithaca, put her most recent rehab project, an elegant Soho loft, on the market priced at $10.9 million in February. It was already under contract by May - sold at $9.85 million.
A quick sale is not surprising since Meg loves flipping real estate where she makes the calls instead of a director. After redoing nine properties she has put together a great renovation team of architect Joel Barkley and designer Monique Gibson, who if this Soho loft is any indication, Meg can look forward to many more successful projects.
The big challenge was turning a rather roughly laid out bachelor pad into functional glamor, so prior to the onset of actual decorating, Meg repurposed and reconfigured much of the loft such as enlarging the kitchen, reconfiguring the new master suite which was previously a huge gym, switched out the dining room that had formerly been the master bedroom, resized bathrooms and added a plethora of closets, storage and built-ins. After being completely gutted and built out, Meg went with a sophisticated city theme of dark color, contrasting textures and a glass wall with French doors between the living room and dining room. Brick walls were left exposed in the media room. The new open and airy kitchen is stocked with high-end appliances and leans toward more French design.
Meg is at it again and has just closed on another New York condo at 443 Greenwich, and we can’t wait to see what she does. We expect it to appear in Architectural Digest prior to being listed, so will keep tuned in.
Meg Ryan, quickly becoming the Queen of the Flippers, has just sold her latest dreamy creation in New York’s Soho district for $9.85 million.
