Not Ronald Reagan Governor’s Mansion!

During most of Ronald Reagan’s term as California’s governor from 1967 to 1975, he and wife, Nancy, rented a Sacramento home instead of living at the dated-and-rundown governor’s mansion. The 6,963-square-foot home they rented is now for sale at $4.995 million. A Ronald Reagan home that was not dated was built for him in the 1950s by General Electric as a home of the future show-house. An all-electric home with every imaginable electrical convenience of the time including the newly conceived garbage disposal, sequential whole-house lighting, and an outdoor phone box that would hold up to 200 phone lines.
