Frank Lloyd Wright designed more than 1,000 structures in a career that spanned from 1890 until his death in 1959, but about half were never completed. Some of the Frank Lloyd Wright projects that were never built include a mile-high skyscraper on Lake Michigan, floating cabins on Lake Tahoe, a planned-urban city he called “Broadacre City,” and the blue-green colored National Life Insurance Building in Chicago.
