The Dwight Howard Mansion!
Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleWith the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs replaying their 2013 NBA Finals, Spurs fans say their team will win because the Spurs have been the best team all season, and Heat fans say their team will win because they have LeBron. Which ever way it goes, with teams of this caliber, a great number of fingernails will be chewed to the elbow through the process.
Though he didn’t make it to the NBA playoffs this year, superstar Dwight Howard, formerly of the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers and now with the Houston Rockets, has put his Orlando estate on the market. Having bought it in 2008 when he joined the Magic, and paying $7.8 million, he has now listed it for $4.9 million, almost $3 million less than the purchase price. Of course when you make over $27 million a year with a net worth of $100 million, what’s a paltry $3 million loss when you’ve already moved to Texas?
Howard’s Château d’Ussé in Longwood, Florida was built in 2008 with more than 11,000 square feet of living area on three acres of land on Rice Lake. This Gothic inspired home is being sold with its unique designer furnishings including a man cave with bar, pool table and three televisions. In addition to the formal rooms, family room, five bedrooms and six baths, the home has two features not usually found. The home office is accessed through a somewhat unexpected entrance, offering privacy and security and the kitchen has a separate well-equipped prep kitchen out of site of the main kitchen. All surfaces and appliances are high end and a two-sided fireplace serves the family room and the man cave. Outside is a partially covered lanai with kitchen and pool area with lazy river, seating, fountain and firepit. Views are over the property and Lake Rice. For more information.
