After hitting a five-month high in May, existing-home sales decreased 2.4% in June from the previous month, but sales are still about 3% higher than a year ago. Costs are likely the main deterrent for many buyers as the median existing-home price reached a record high of $440,600 in June. For the third year in a row, monthly housing prices have increased, with prices up roughly 2% from a year earlier.
