Burt Facing Foreclosure!
Burt Facing Foreclosure!
Guess it's too late now, but too bad there wasn't an estate sale and the proceeds used to stage the house for the 21st Century! Could have made a pretty penny from all those who would have paid nicely to own a piece of Burt Reynolds memorabilia. Well, we suppose it's what one calls hindsight or maybe a little pigheadedness . . Burt? Yes, the 70's were charming . . in the 70's.
But today is today and now the house has foreclosed and is experiencing a little Deliverance of its own. That's good news for the rest of us always looking for a great deal. For those looking at this house who have no imagination, in your mind's eye, just picture it stripped, including the paneling in the game room, the mirrored wall in the living room, the screened patio and then all painted white. At that point you can at least see what you have. The terracotta floors are good Florida stuff and other than the master suite, the rooms are large and airy tinged with Mediterranean style. If the mechanical systems are ok, you're good to go. Then you can sit down, give the house a chance to speak to you and take other renovations from there at your leisure. Or? Bring in the bulldozer.
So what's to love? The theatre . . not just "media room", the gym, and that very attractive blue tile outdoor bar with the only excellent staging in the whole place! A bulldozer could clear the waterside, make a beach and give the house a water view. All in all, a person with vision could have themselves a sweet deal here! We're sure the bank would second that!
Mr. Reynolds has been trying to sell the Florida home since 2005. Home was on market at $15m - reduced to $8.95m- now in foreclosure.
