Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For SaleBad boy Nick Nolte is still having a magnificent career at the age of 72. Though he says that the only actor he knows of who started out as late in life as he did was Humphrey Bogart, Nick stuck with it because the roles he played seemed to fit his personality. We know him as the actor who got his big break as in the 1976 television miniseries "Rich Man Poor Man" who easily made the transition to movies. He has appeared in over 40 movies including big box office hits such as "The Deep", "48 Hours", "North Dallas Forty", "Down and Out in Beverly Hills"and "The Prince of Tides." Last year he starred with Robert Redford in "The Company You Keep"and will be starring in a new upcoming film, "The Impossible Dream."
With three marriages behind him, a son, Brawley Nolte, also an accomplished actor, and a new baby by his current long-term partner, Clytie Lane, Nick never seems to take a breather from either life or film. He comes by his "bad boy" image honestly, since as long as he can remember, he’s been "getting into trouble." His mother had to deal with it first and now he tries to deal with it, but occasionally backslides into drugs or alcohol or both at one time.
Nick got his start in the celebrity world in 1972 as a model with bleach blond hair, jeans and unbuttoned shirt in an ad for Clairol’s "Summer Blonde" hair lightener, along with then blondie Sigourney Weaver. With his beach boy looks, Nick has always loved to be near sun and water and currently lives in Malibu, just a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean. Built in 1963, Nolte’s 4 bedroom, 6,000 square foot craftsman home is now for sale. The list of its previous owners makes the home a rock star in its own right. Tommy Chong, Don Felder of the Eagles and music producer David Foster have also lived here.
The main residence sits on two acres in Bonsall Canyon with a guest house, tennis court and lagoon pool. The house has Italian marble and onyx floors, six fireplaces in the living room alone, and huge arched floor-to-ceiling windows with additional light spilling through skylights. The second floor landing is surrounded by built-in bookcases, master suite, library, office and views over the property.
Nick Nolte’s secluded, star studded Malibu enclave, priced at $8.25 million.
