The home of perpetual Christmases. To some, this may sound like a holiday dream come true, but for the Perelson family, it was a nightmare that came to life at 4:30 a.m. December 6, 1959. In the maelstrom of crippling financial troubles, as the story goes, Dr. Perelson got up and, with a hammer in hand, murdered his wife in bed, then tried to murder his daughter. The daughter fortunately escaped, along with her two younger siblings. The Los Feliz house, where the crimes took place, is set in one of the wealthier neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Since that terrifying day, with the exception of one family who tried to rent the home and ran screaming from the house on the anniversary of the murder leaving decorations and still-wrapped presents behind, has not been lived in since. Untouched, the Spanish-Revival beauty is now more valuable as a teardown and rebuild erasing any signs of its tragic past.
