Must SeeTop 10 Florida Condos For Sale

Speaking of French chateau mega mansions, ‘Versailles’ in Windermere, Florida, is yet for sale. But this is a chateau with a twist. It’s unfinished. Touted as one of the largest, if no longer the most expensive house in the country, it comes with options. Starting out at $75m, it has now been reduced to $65m as is. However, if you want it completed, David Siegel said he would do that to your specifications for $90m.

Jacqueline and David Siegel set out to build the biggest house in America, but somewhere in the middle of construction, started feeling a financial pinch. David insisted it was just a matter of some tweaking to his business interests and that they would be back to finish it and move in. WSJ reports the record shows that the house has been in foreclosure proceedings since May 2011. The Siegels live nearby in a 26,000sf home with their 10 children.

Actually the floor plans show the house to be extremely well planned for comfortable family living as well as entertaining, where many homes nearing this size are grand but inconvenient for the day-to-day. A massive structure at 90,000sf, it has 13 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms. A car collector would love the 20-car garage. Built out on a peninsula in Butler Lake, it sits on 10.12 acres. Of course there is the ballroom, a 2-story wine cellar, formal dining for 50, 3 pools, chefs kitchen with 10 smaller kitchens scattered throughout, a bowling alley, game arcade, large fitness center and spa and 4 fireplaces. On site are 160 triple paned windows and Brazilian mahogany French doors.

Was $75m – now $65m. WSJ reported possible foreclosure. We feel a good deal coming.
