Granted his kids have been groomed to take over large chunks of his business empire, but has The Donald been concentrating more on his image rather than minding the store? Things are slipping and he has troubles.

Take Trump Soho for instance. Seemingly plagued from the start, Trump Soho is a hotel-condo development in New York City that was launched on The Donald's "Apprentice" TV show in 2006. Problems started during construction including neighborhood protests, financial delays, a worker who fell from the 42nd floor and was decapitated, and the discovery of human bones leftover from a 19th Century burial vault. The building was completed in 2010. Sales have been painfully slow and 10 early buyers were given a 90% rebate on their deposits when it was discovered that sales reps misrepresented the early numbers about the building at 60% sold, when in actuality only 16% had been sold. Prices have been cut by almost 30% due to continuing sluggish sales.

If that’s not embarrassing enough, Trump was fired! That’s what happened when the board of directors of Trump Plaza, also in New York, voted to change management companies and kicked him to the curb for unsatisfactory property management. Trump is also the defendant in a number of lawsuits from investors who lost millions of deposit dollars in 2008 when the Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico didn't progress beyond a hole in the ground.

Maybe The Donald should put as much time and energy into tweaking his business interests as he does bandstanding about the President’s birth certificate and school records?
